THE SUMMER WAR OF 2014!

A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home. So many gathered that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them. Mark 2:1-2

Last Friday night at our Campus Devo I preached on the “Zealots of Zion” challenging our UCF, Valencia, Rollins and Full-Sail students to become the zealots they are called to be! In the lesson I explained that each Bible Talk in our congregation from here forward will be seen as, led and participated in as a “micro/mini church”. This concept is simply “borrowed” from Jesus’ BT here in Mark Ch. 2. This small group, including Jesus and the 12 had astounding results as each member was clear minded that they were in a war for souls. So these men were zealots for the Lord! They had so many visitors that the house was full and the crowd spilled over into the streets. This could only happen if the Zealots of Zion were fired up, joyful and committed to their purpose- saving souls.

In Mark 1:35-39 Jesus prays very early in the morning all alone. He had a special powerful relationship with his Father. Then he is found by the disciples and immediately begins to preach in the nearby villages because, he says, “That is why I have come”. What a heart he had for the lost and his faithful disciples had this heart powerfully transferred into them. Is this your heart?

Then on Monday night at staff we studied out a lesson entitled “The Summer War of 2014!” What an exciting time God has given us in Orlando as we strive with all we have to rebuild the leadership in this little yet powerful and faith-filled church! God has done “immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20) in under two years. Sending out the “Orlando 5” our first year to LA and Phoenix, then planting our first church in Gainesville in December 2013 and then amazingly the Spirit sent out the Houston church in February 2014!

What could the summer of 2014 bring? Well, I can’t wait to see! The mighty Campus ministry has set a goal to see 10 additions- baptisms and restorations, this summer from May to August. In every Bible Talk in Orlando we have a dream to see the world evangelized in this generation- starting right here in our own precious city. Lord, guide us to those seeking you with all their hearts!
He stoops down to make us great!

Your servant and evangelist,
Matt Sullivan
